The current beta is made for iPhone in portrait orientation and requires iOS 17 or later.

Frequently asked questions

Where is my data stored?

The current version stores tiles, daily values, Timer sessions and preferences locally on this iPhone. It does not include iCloud sync.

What is the difference between JSON and CSV export?

JSON is a complete RouTiles backup that can be restored. CSV is a readable table for a spreadsheet or archive and cannot be imported.

What happens when I restore JSON?

RouTiles validates the file and shows a preview. After confirmation, the imported backup replaces the current app database. Export a fresh JSON backup first if you may need the current data later.

Does Timer keep running in the background?

Yes. An active Timer is based on its start time, so it continues while the app is in the background or relaunched. Pause it when finished. If you forgot, edit the session to correct the recorded duration.

Why did a reminder not arrive?

Check that the reminder is enabled in RouTiles and notifications are allowed in iOS Settings. Focus modes and iOS scheduling can affect delivery. Reminder text is neutral and does not reveal tile names.

How does App Lock work?

iOS authenticates you with Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode. RouTiles does not receive or store biometric information.

How do I change the app language?

Open Settings in RouTiles and choose a language. The change applies inside the app and does not alter the iPhone system language.

How do I delete everything?

Use Delete All Data in Settings. It removes the local database and recovery snapshot and returns to onboarding. Exported files remain wherever you saved them. Deleting the app also removes local data.
