Contact
Email [email protected] for support. GoalLane is independently developed by Vladislav Morgun.
When reporting a problem, please include the app version shown at the bottom of Settings, your iPhone model and iOS version, the steps that led to the problem and a screenshot if it is useful. Please remove private goal or step text before sending a screenshot, and do not send a JSON backup unless it is strictly necessary and you are comfortable doing so.
Requirements
The current version is made for iPhone in portrait orientation and requires iOS 17 or later.
Frequently asked questions
Where is my GoalLane data stored?
GoalLane uses the storage choice shown in Settings. “iPhone” keeps data locally on that device. “iCloud” also synchronizes supported data through the private CloudKit database tied to your Apple Account. The developer cannot read that database.
What happens when I turn iCloud off?
GoalLane copies the current available snapshot to local storage before switching. The private iCloud copy is not deleted. Later changes stay only on this iPhone until iCloud is enabled again. Save a JSON backup before major storage changes.
How do I back up or move my goals?
Use Export in Settings and save the JSON file outside GoalLane, for example in Files. On another supported iPhone you can use the same Apple Account with iCloud enabled, or import the JSON file manually. GoalLane validates an import and shows what will be added, updated, unchanged or conflicted before you confirm it.
Will importing the same backup duplicate my goals?
No. GoalLane matches records by their identifiers and update dates. Importing the same unchanged backup should report the records as unchanged rather than duplicate them.
Why is the default limit three active goals?
The limit protects your attention. Turn it off in Settings to allow any number of goals.
Why am I not receiving Daily Briefing?
Check that Daily Briefing is enabled in GoalLane and notifications are allowed in iOS Settings. A briefing is scheduled locally and may include upcoming goal or step names. Delivery time is controlled by iOS and can also be affected by Focus modes.
Why is voice input not working?
Check microphone and speech-recognition access for GoalLane in iOS Settings. Voice-to-text requires on-device recognition support for the selected language.
How does App Lock work?
When App Lock is enabled, iOS authenticates you with Face ID, Touch ID or the iPhone passcode. GoalLane never receives or stores biometric data. The app also covers its content when it moves to the background.
What happens if I delete the app?
Deleting GoalLane removes local-only data from that iPhone. Data synchronized through private iCloud may remain and return after reinstallation. A JSON file saved outside the app remains available for manual restore. Never rely on an iPhone-only installation as the only copy of important goals.
How do I delete my data?
Delete goals or steps inside GoalLane. When iCloud is enabled, supported deletions synchronize to your other devices. Exported JSON files must be deleted separately from the location where you saved them.
